Job Description

The objective of the Business Development Associate (BDA) is to generate net-new annuities business with iT1 customers and prospects. The BDA will be focused on uncovering opportunities and creating demand for broadband, hosted telephony, SD WAN, and colocation services. The BDA will help drive attendance to iT1 sponsored events across the country and work closely with Senior Account Executives. This entry-level position will expose you to cutting edge technologies from many of the top companies in technology and give you the opportunity to work side by side with some of the most experienced IT sale professionals in the industry.

Key Duties

  • Make 50-100 outbound phone calls a day to SMB customers and prospects
  • Drive attendance to local and regional customer education events
  • Follow up on leads passed to iT1 from carrier services partners
  • Document all new opportunities in a CRM
  • Set appointments for iT1 Sr. Account Executives, Consultants, and Solution Engineers
  • Follow a required training plan set by the Carrier Services Manager

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or required associate’s degree in related field
  • Excellent communication skills are required (both verbal and written)
  • Must be comfortable speaking with senior-level clients. Ability to build rapport and undercover operational needs
  • Must possess the ability to multitask, have strong organizational skills and to be able to thrive in a fast-paced setting where speed to market is crucial
  • Must be proficient on computers and various software applications (i.e. Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word). Must be able to learn and navigate various proprietary systems.
